Captain Edwin issued the following report at 9 a.m. yesterday for the subsequent 24 hours. Wind.—Moderate to strong from the southward generally, but changing between to north -east and north and west; strong to gale at all places southward of Napier, Taupo and New Plymouth after from ten to twenty hours. Barometer.— Rise at all places north of Napier and New Plymouth; fall elsewhere soon. Rain is probable in the South Island after twelve hours. Warning signal for southerly gale is exhibited at East Cape; for westerly gale at Capes Campbell, Foulwind and Farewell Spit, and for northerly gale at Nugget Point.
