TARATAHI-CARTERTON RACES. SECOND DAY. ! The Taratahi - Carterton Racing Club concluded their annual meeting yesterday. Rain fell nearly all day, and made the course very sloppy, and the outing far from enjoyable. The attendance was large, and the racing was good, though the times registered were on the slow side. Reveille waa sold by auction after the firstrace to Mr F. Webb, of Masterton, for £35. Speculation was very brisk, the amount put through the machine being £10,144, as compared with £6,372 for the corresponding day last year.
