THE CULLINAN DIAMOND.
| PRESENTED TO KING EDWARD. Received November 11, 8.8 a.m. LONDON, November 10. Sir R. Solomon, on behalf of the Transvaal, presented the Cullinan diamond to the King at Sandringham. KING EDWARD ACCEPTS AS LOYAL GIFT. Received November 11, 10.25 p.m. LONDON, November 11. King Edward has directed Lord Elgin to cable to the Transvaal Ministry that he has accepted the Cullinan diamond as a token of the loyalty and attachment of the people of the Transvaal to his throne and person. He would preserve the unique je"'el among the crown heirlooms. He was much pleased at the Ministry's cordial congratulations accompanying the gift. (The diamond is a gift from the Transvaal Government. Its dimensions (uncut) are 4£ inches in length, 21 inches in height, and 2£ inches in breadth. Its weight (uncut) was 3,025f carats).
