METEOROLOGICAL.
The following weather forecast was issued by Captain Edwin at 9 a.m., yesterday, for the subsequent 24 hours : Wind.—Strong to gale from the eastward at all places northward of East Cape, Taupo, and Raglan, extending thence to Napier after 20 hours; moderate to strong easterly at places from Raglan and Napier to Kaikoura and Hokitika and from the northward elsewhere. 1 Barometer.—Fall slowly northward of Napier and New Plymouth; little movement elsewhere. Rain is probable northward of Last Cape, Taupo, and Raglan, extending southward to Napier after 20 hours. Warning signal for easterly gale is exhibited at East Cape, Tirtiri, and Cape Maria Van JDiemen.
