WAIRARAPA P. AND A. SHOW.
. -♦ It is confidently expected that the exhibits of live stock at the Wairarapa Show on the 20th and 21st instant, at Carterton, will be of the usual high quality, the later dates of the fixture materially assisting exhibitors. The society has been presented with many valuable special prizes by its supporters in the horse, cattle, and sheep sections. In the latter section may be mentioned Messrs Quibell Bros' challenge cup for most points in any one of the principal classes for stud sheep. Mr Douglas offers a challenge cup for most points in Southdowns. The New Zealand Sheepbreeders' Association offers a silver shield for the champion English Leicester ram. Messrs Thomas and Cook offer £5 for the mort points in the Romney Marsh sheep. Entries will close on the 9th inst. with the secretary, Mr H. S. Moss, at Carterton.
