MORE EXECUTIONS WANTED.
U.S. STATEMAN'S DRASTIC DEMAND. Mr C: J. Bonaparte, the Secretary of the Navy, addressing the National Prison Warders' Association at Chicago recently, demanded that the - deatk&penalty should be passed upon habitual criminals. He declared-that modern society should cease to nourish and shelter its inveterate enemies. An attempt to commit a capital crime should be met with the same punishment as would be imposed had the deed been actually committed. The fourth conviction for any crime ought to involve the passing of the death penalty upon the criminal. * mmwmmumMiwmmm_
