CARTERTON.

From Our Own Correspondent. Monday. The sum of £3BO was paid out by the Belveders Dairy Company, to-' day, for milk supplied during October, being at the rate of 6d per lb of butter fat. It has b;en decided to keep the public school closed for another week, during which time the premises will be connected with the drainage system and the buildings will be further disinfected. A fire among some shavings at Mr W. J. Berrill's butter-box factory was the cause of an alarm being sounded on the firebell at midday today. The blaze was extinguished by Mr Berrill's employees before the brigade arrived.
