CORRESPONDENCE.

To the Editor. Sir,-—I desire to say that I am in accord with Mr R. Brown's letter, published in your issue of the Ist inst., in relerence to the promotion of close settlement in the neighbourhood of Masterton, and 1 am glad that so prominent a townsman has taken the matter up. I have a family of boys whom 1 want to see upon the land of their native country, and I hope something will be done to see that the interests of Masterton shall be no longer overlooked in the matter of close settlement where land in the vicinity of the borough is available. I shall have more to say on this subject later on,', and I shall also reply to Mr Ormond's remarks on the land question.—l am, etc., EDWARD COYLE.
