MASTERTON RACING CLUB.

MEETING OP STEWARDS. The monthly meeting of the Stewards of the Masterton Racing Club was held on Saturday afternoon, and was attended by Messrs C. F. Vallance (chairman), W. lorns, C. H. Smith, J. lorns, R. Buick, C. A. Pownall, J. Cress, A. Reside, J. < Macara, A. J. Welch, D. McLachlan 0. C. Cooper, D. Caselberg, A. Reside, W. Piatt, A. W. Cave. The Wellington Racing Club forwarded jockies' licenses for H. S. Crawford, L. A. Wadham, F. Langstone and a gentleman rider's license for N. M. Douglas. Mr D. F. McKay wrote applying for a refund of nomination and acceptance fees paid on St. Brandon, also asking the club to forego the fees due on Lady Flintlock and Eclipse. It was resolved to accede to the request. It was also decided to recommend Mr D. F. McKay to the Wellington Racing Club for a trainer's license. A resolution was carried terminating the engagement of the present starter, and it was decided to invite applications for the position. Messrs S. E. Wright, totalisator clerk, and G, R. Sykes, totalisator supervisor, were granted a bonus of £1 Is per day each for extra work in connection with the recent meeting.
