WAIRARAPA AUTOMOBILE ASSOCIATION.

ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the Wairarapa Automobile Association was held on Saturday afternoon. Mr W. G. Beard presided. The annual report and balance sheet were adopted. Officers for the ensuing year were elected as follows: President, Mr P. L. Hollings; vice-presidents, Messrs J. C. Bidwill, R. Maunsell, Z. R. Renall, P. C. Tumor, and Dr. Cook; committee, Messrs J. O. Bidwill, A. J. Cameron, J. C. Wrigley, 0. Pragnell, R. N. Barton, W. H. Diddams, Henry Holmes, Cecil Kebbell, W. G. Beard, W. H' Beetham and Dr. Ross; secretary and treasurer, Mr W. A. Fendall; trustee, Mr W. G. Beard. A deputation was appointed to wait on the South Wairarapa County Council with reference to having the creeks and water courses on the County roads bridged. The attention of the Association was drawn to the fact that numbers of bricks have been dropped by carters on the borough roads, and it was resolved to instruct the secretary to write to the Borough Council in connection with the matter. It was decided to hold the opening run to Martinborough on Saturday next, leaving Masterton at 1.30 p.m.
