PALL THROUGH A BRIDGE. By # Telegraph—Press Association, . NAPIER, October 31. While crossing a small bridge between the Grange Bridge and Giive, to-day, a traction engine, belonging to* Powdrell Bros., Hastings, fell through the bridge, half-burying itbelf in the water and mud. The lorries loaded with wool, which the engine was drawing, broke away when the engine and the drivers escaped with a few bruises. The same engine went through the Waitangi Bridge last year. FATAL ACCIDENT. By Telegraph—Press . Association. INVERCARGILL, October 31. Alice Colby, aged 18, was killed by her horse shying at a traction engine, and capsizing the cart she was in. The Auckland Court of Enquiry into the fires on the Schooner Endeavour found a verdict of incendiarism against someone unknown.
