KAISER BREAKING THE j CLIQUE. A DRAMATIC SCENE. j Received October 29, 8.12 a.m. BERLIN, Ocotber 28. ' Herr Harden, speaking in his defence, implied that he could have shown that whole cavalry regiments were infected, had he desired to dwell on disgusting orgies, also that immoral proposals were even made to the Prussian Minister of the Interior; but his only object was to avert disastrous political developments, which, in the rase of Morocco, had brought two countries to the verge ot war. He declared that the Kaiser's decision was:—"Away with Eulenburg, away with Hohenau, for ever! There is nothing definite against Moltke, but he must clear himsalf or be stoned. Meanwhile he must be placed on half-pay." Herr Harden concluded—"l prefer to serve the Kaiser by telling him the truth, not by worshipping him." Immense crowds outside the court cheered Herr Harden wildly when hip wife kissed him in the street. A STERN DECREE. KINGLY ADMONITION. Received October 29, 10.50 p.m. BERLIN, October 29. The Kaiser has issued a stern decree to the leaders of the army insisting on the objectionable practices referred to in the Berlin trial being suppressed. Officers are admonished to lead exemplary lives. LE COMTE INTERVIEWED. Received October 29, 9.47 p.m. PARIS, October 29. M. Le Comte (formerly First Secretary of the French Embassy in Berlin, who was suddenly recalled about the time of the downfall of the camarilla), interviewed here, denies that he hurriedly left Berlin. He admitted lhat he was a friend of Prince Philip of Eulenburg, though he saw him seldom. He was noi intimate with Counts Mokke and Hohenhau, and was not acquainted | with Count Lynar. He ridiculed the \ political role Herr Harden had assigned to him.
