OPAKI QUOITS CLUB.

From Our Own Correspondent. The Opaki Quoits Club held their monthly competitions on Saturday last, at Mr Wyeth's grounds The weather was perfect, and the attendance good. Eighteen ladies entered for the monthly match, and after a particularly interesting game Mrs S. Tankersley carried off the prize (Mr R. Hunt's trophy), Mrs Tunnicliffe being a good second. In the competition for Mrs T. Dew's trophy for ladies -who had not previously won a trophy, Miss Foreman was first and Miss L. Foreman second. Twenty-two took part in the men's competition. B. Chamberlain was first, Daken' second, and Tunnicliffe third. Mr D. McKenzie returned thanks to the ladies who as usual served afternoon tea. A dance was held in the evening.
