SEDITIOUS MEETINGS BILL MODIFIED. GOVERNMENT COMMISSION : BOYCOTTED. Received October 28, 8.52 a.m. BOMBAY, October 27. The Indian Seditious Meetings Bill has been modified. Certain meetings are exempted from the preliminary notice, and the duration of the measure is limited to three years. The Government commission of enquiry into the Calcutta riot 3 is boycotted. Not a single witness appeared.
