THE EMPIRE MATCH. Received October 28, 5.52 p.m. SYDNEY, October 28. The position of the teams on the completion of the first two ranges of the Empire Match were as follow: — Australia 746 Britain 737 New Zealand 726 Received October 28, 6.39 p.m. SYDNEY, October 28. At the completion of the third range of the Empire Match the scores were: —■ Australia 1,108 Britain 1,077 New Zealand 1,077 The remaining ranges will be fired to-morrow. Received October 28, 9.53 p.m. SYDNEY, October 28. The weather was fine, and there was a good light for the Empire Match. The members of the New Zealand team fired very consistently. The Britishers lost considerably through putting twelve shots on the wrong target—nine at the 500 yards range and three at the 600 yards range. The scores at the different ranges were: — 200 Yds.
