The New Zealand team played Leeds yesterday, and secured another' win. The Leeds team is one of the strongest in the Northern Union, and naturally considerable interest was manifested in the match, as the result would give followers of the game a good idea of the New Zealanders' metal. The visitors showed their superiority over the home team and when the final whistle sounded the score stood — iSlew Zealand 8 points Leeds 2 points New Zealand's score was made upof a gual (counting 2 points under the Northern and 2 tries, (six points.) Leeds scored a goal (2 points.) At the end of the season 1905-6 tiie Leeds Club, by consMent good play, worked up into the third position, with the following record:— Matches played 34, won 25, lost 7, drawn 2; scores for, 49 goals 93 tries, total points 377; scores against, 27 goals, 23 tries, total points 123; League points obtained 52, percentage 76.47.
