Messrs Dalgety and Co,, Ltd., Wellington, have . received the following cable advhes from their London office, dated the' 24th instant Butter—The Copenhagen official quo-tation-is 5 kroners higher (about 5s 6d) per cwt. Market firm. The total imports of butter into the United Kingdom for the week ended the 19th of October amounted to ■s9,ooocwt, as compared with 78,000 cwt for. the corresponding week of 1.906, Australian finest, 118s to 120s. Unsalted, l£os to 1225. Frozen meat —Market unchanged. Tallow—Since our telegram of the 17th instant, prime mutton tallow is higher by 3d to fid per cwt. Other descriptions, higher by 3d. . Rabbit-skins—The sales closed yery firm, with an occasional improvement on opening rates, with the exception of Australian suckers "and inferior sorts. Prices for Australian rabbit-skins, in general, are lower by id per lb. New Zealand prime winter rabbit-skins, prices are rather higher. Mixed seasons, any change in prices is in favour of sellers. Out of 3,718 bales offered, 3,585 were sold.
