PALMERSTON NEWS.
By Telegraph—Press Association. PALMERSTON N., October 15. At a meeting of the Half-Holiday Association, held this evening, it was resolved, in view of the fact that the Government had proclaimed Monday, November 11th, a public holiday, in lieu of Saturday, November 9th, that the shops close on that date. The military tournament and assault -at-arms, which was to have been held on Saturday, has been postponed till Monday.
