TURAKINA FIRE INQUIRY.
By Telegraph—Press Association. WELLINGTON, October 25. At the enquiry into the fire on the steamer Turakina, the President (Dr. McArthur) stated that to try and get at the bottom of the whole matter it would be necessary to bring graders from Auckland and Bluff to Wellington to give evidence. Di\ McArthur also stated that some of the bales stored in No. 5 hold had since the previous sitting of the Court of Enquiry been opened and found to be heated.
