RUN ON ANOTHER COMPANY. Received October 24, 9.40 p.m. NEW YORK, October 24. The only further run in New York related to the Trust Company of America holding ten million sterling in deposits and £2,400,000 besides. All day the Trust Company with' stood the run, paying out £2,400,000. PITTSBURG STOCK EXCHANGE TEMPORARILY CLOSED. DEPRESSION IN NEW YORK. HEAVY FALL IN SHARES. Received October 24, 10.5 p.m. NEW YORK, October 24. At the instance of the Clearing House Committee the Pittsburg Stock Exchange temporarily closed, leading to immediate depression on the New York Exchange. The Westinghouse Electric Company's shares are selling down to 42, representing a drop of 371General Electric shares have declined 13£ points. The United States Circuit Court at Pittsburg in the afternoon appointed a receiver for the Westinghouse Electric and Westinghouse Machine Companies, and the Security Investment Company. Mr G. B. Cortelyou substantially assisted the Pittsburg Banks. His further deposit of two million sterling in the New York Banks produced a better tone in Wall Street. The difficulties, at Pittsburg will not affect the Westinghouse Air Brake and Union Switches and Signal Companies, nor George Westinghouse's personal affairs. The Westinghouse troubles are due wholly to monetary conditions, not to lack of business, as most of the concerns are solvent. LONDON MARKET UNSETTLED. Received October 2\ 8.27 a.m. LONDON, October 23. The London Stock Exchange opened to-day flat and unsettled, especially American storks. Consols are unchanged.
