ijy Telegraph—Parliamentary Correspondent. WELLINGTON, Tuesday. The Land Laws Amendment Bill which passed the House on Saturday morning, was introduced into r legislative Council, to-day, by "v Attorney-General, who proposed u "-■■ ■*• the second reading that day week. He desired that the measure should be dealt with without reference to a Select Committee, , because of the lateness of the'ses- ' aicn, but the Hon. J. Rigg pointed out that it would be necessary in order to comply with the Standing Orders to send the Bill to the Waste Lands Committee. The AttorneyGeneral therefore took time to consider what eourse he would adopt in the matter.
