THE "PRO BLACKS." MATCH AGAINST BROUGHTON RANGERS. ANOTHER NEW ZEALAND VICTORY. By Telegraph—Press Association. Received October 20, 5.1 p.m. LONDON, October 20. The New Zealand football team, which is touring the district under the jurisdiction of the Northern Rugby Union, played the fourth match of the tour, yesterday, against the Broughton Rangers. Considerable interest was manifested in the match, as Broughton is a portion of the Salford Borough, which is only divided from the city of Manchester, where there are a number of Northern Union Clubs, by the River Irwell. The game was keenly contested all through, and New Zealand secured a win by a margin of six points. The final scores were: — New Zealand ... 20 points Broughton Rangers ... 14 points (During the season 1905-6 the Broughton Club occupied the eighth position in the League competitions, with the following record: —Matches played 35, won 28, lost 12, drawn 1; scores for, 50 goals, 100 tries, total points 400; scores against, 3t» goals, 48 tries, total points 222; League points obtained, 43; percentage, 63.23.) RESULTS OF MATCHES. The following are the results of the matches played so far by the New Zealand team: — September 12th, v. Ceylon, New Zealand won by 33 points to 6. October 9th, v. Bramley, New Zealand won by 40 points to 6. October 12th, v. Huddersfield, New Zealand won by 25 points to 11. October 16th, v. Widnes, New Zealand won by 38 points to 14. October 19th, v. Broughton Rangers, New Zealand won by 20 poi~ts to 14. Matches played 5, won 5, points for 156, points against 51.
