PROBABLE VISIT TO CANADA. OTTAWA, October 18. Newspapers at Toronto interpret on2 remark in the speech at Port Hope of Earl Grey, Governor-General of Canada, as pointing to the prospect o£ King Edward and Queen Alexandra visiting Canada in 1908, on the occasion of the celebration of the landing of Champlain, the French coloniser, in Quebec.
Received October 20, 3.23 p.m. LONDON, October 19. The Daily Telegraph's Ottawa correspondent states that it is officially stated that no intimation has been received that a royal visit v to Canada is probable in 1908, but it is probable that His Majesty King Edward; jtfill be represented at the TercentiMry celebrations.
