WIRELESS TELEGRAPHY.
Received October 18, 10.18 p.m. , OTTAWA, October 18. Sir Wilfrid Laurier sent a Marconi aaessage to the English press stating that wirelejs telegraphy had been Canada, and achieved another ttiumph 'for the Empire, and science. lis not yet open for private messages. "'- The Marconi expert 3 at Morien, Nova Scotia, received, on October 7th a message intended for some one in the Pacific, announcing the arrival«ef the American cruiser Philadelphia at Manila. The experts account for the fact by the supposition that the -cone at Manila must' have been in perfect tune with .that at Morien. ; " : Lord Kelvin, Sir William Crookes, Sir Oliver Lodge, and Professor Ayrton, have warmly congratulated Marconi. Marconi is transmitting I press messages, between Clifden, Connemarra and Glace Bay, Nova Scotia, averaging thirty words per minute.
