TRENTHAM TRAINING NOTES. Yesterday morning's storm interfered with training operations at Trentham. A good many horses worked before breakfast, „but some were not taken out of their boxes. Most of the gallops were done in heavy rain, and fast times were out of the question. Paritutu and Zimmerman went a mile together and took nearlv 2min to cover the journey- 15scc per furlong. Clanchattan went once round at nearly his best pace. Tupono cantered round to the three furlongs post and spurted home. Marseillaise went about six furlongs, and Moata did a similar performance. The two-year-old Fleetfoot had De Witte as companion in a half-mile spurt. Dawn ran three quarters with Msrtyrium; the firstnamed appeared most at home in the mud. Golden Gate went once round, the last six furlongs at top. Sir Tristram went a mile by himself. Intelligence and Kairoma were together in a six furlongs sprint. William, Kurawaka, and Swimming Belt each galloped about seven fur"l ,ngs. Eona ran round to the halfmiie post and sprinted home. Similar work was given All Red, Gold Crest, Truthful, and Liberator. Some of the over-night arrivals, including Mr T. Quinlivan's team, were out after breakfast. The Fordell trainer, F. Tiliey, and the balance of the Hawke's Bay horses arrived last night. There is little likelihood of the tracks drying up in time tor tomorrow.
