CRICKET.
Mr E. Upham, who has been playing cricket for the Midland Club, Wellington, during the past nineteen years in championship and representative matches, took his thousandth wicket on Saturday, a performance which has probably never been equalled in New Zealand. A return match between the Star A and W.F.C.A. teams will be played on the Schoolground on Thursday next.
