A POLL LOST.
By Telegraph—Press Association. October 31. A poll was taken to-day on a proposal to raise a loan of £20,000 to provide a high-pressure water supply for the borough. Out of 700 voter? on the roll only 385 exercised their privilege, and the opposition party having worked hard the proposal waa lost by 2SO votes to 99 votes.
