MASTERTON SCHOOL COMMITTEE.
MONTHLY MEETING
The monthly meeting of the Mastarton School Committee, last evening, was attended by Messrs R. Brown (chairman), C. Perry, H. H. Cork, E. H. Waddington, H. O'Leary, J. Carpenter, G. Townsend, and the *Jev. J. N. Buttle. The-Treasurer reported a credit balance of £7O lis 6d. The Rev. J. N. Buttle, or some nther person that he may appoint, wTS* elected to represent the Com •• mitfee on the deputation which prop* poses to wait on the Premier with reference to the introduction of the Bible into State schools. The visiting members were authorised to arrange with Mr D. Dobson to prepare an estimate of the cost of grading, draining and asphalting the High School playgrounds. Messrs Perry, Townsend, and Waddington were ' appointed visiting members, for the month. Accounts amounting to £4l 2s 4d . were passed for payment.
