WEDDING.
CARRICK-GRIFFEN. A quiet wedding was celebrated at Knox Church, yesterday, the contracting parties being Mr Walter L. Carrick, second son .of the late Mr R. Carrick, of County Clare, Ireland, and Miss Amelia Griffen, youngest daughter of the late Mr W. Griffen, of Manaia. The bride was given away by Mr H. Wooding, and wad dressed in a handsome navy blue costume with white hat to match. The bridesmaid was Miss K. ,G.orman, wno wore a becoming dress of white silk, with hat to match. Both the bride and bridesmaid carried shower bouquets. Mr Ernest Wooding was best man, and the ceremony was performed by the Rev. A. T. Thompson. After the ceremony a reception was held at the residence of Mr H. Wooding, Pine Street, when the usual toasts were honoured. The bridegroom presented the bride and bridesmaid with a gold brooch each. The bride's present to the bridegroom was a handsome pair of sleeve-links. A large number of costly presents were received. In the evening a large number of guests were entertained at the residence of Mr Carrick in honour of the wedding.
