FOOTBALL.
As a result of a ballot taken amongst senior members of the Masterton Club, Mr J. A. Renall's handsome Cup has been allotted to Mv J. O'Leary as the player who has proved himself of most use to the vag'o (luring the three years in which the Cup was won. The club is having the Cup engraved and it will be presented to Mr O'Leai-y at the chib's social and dance on Thursday woek next. The Cup was originally presented by Mr Rcnall to the Red ;■>;.;■ Club, and the latter allotted it for competition between the MasterU>;->, Albion, and Red Star Clubs, with a stipulation that when it was Vvi'i it was to be awarded to the jyt-yev who had been of 'the most wvrviee in winning it for his club. Ti a Masterton Club won all their matches in the competition for the Cv;.
