■CATTLE .DRIVING. LONDON, October 4. The.Congested Districts Commis;son is now taking evidence at Castle:rea, North-west Roscommon. Addressing the members of the .commission, Sir Antony Macdonnell, .Under-Secretary to the Lord-Lieu-tenant of Ireland declared that .cattle-driving, of which there have >been many cases recently, had hampered the efforts of the Government in .purchasing land. If, he said, the .owners were not allowed to let their lands before they sold, there would be an end to all law and order. The Government was bound to prevent incitements to cattle-driving.
