LONDON MARKETS.
Messrs Dalgefcy and Co., Ltd., Wellington, have received the following cable messages from their London house under date of the 3rd instant :—Butter—The market is firm. The Copenhagen official quotation is highei by 1 kroner (about Is l£d) per cwt. The total imports of butter into the United Kingdom for the week ended September 28th amounted to 66,000cwt. as compared with 71,000cwt for the corresponding week of 1906, showing a decrease ■of 5,000 cwt. Frozen Meat—There is good demand for frozen lamb at unchanged prices. The market is weak and dull for frozen beef and mutton. Tallow—The market is firm. Since our last advices other descriptions of tallow are at par to 3d lower. The decline is chiefly on low and inferior qualities.
