PAHIATUA HORSE PAIR. Messrs Mitchell and Griffith report as follows on their Pahiatua horse . fair:—We had a very satisfactory despite the fact that the weather turned out very unfavourable, thus preventing several entries coming to hand. .The prices realised were as follow:—Medium draughts £2B to £2O ss, farm trap horses £lB 10s to £l4, hacks £l2 5d to £7 7s 6d, ponies £5 7s 6d to £4 10s, aged mare in foal with foal at foot £lO 10s. The medium draughts, which were of good quality, received the attention they deserved and bidding was very spirited. Hacks and ponies also were in demand, showing conclusively that this class of horse is a saleable article here. The next sale will be held in January.
