STRIKE AT A MILL.
TWELVE THOUSAND PERSONS IDLE. Received October 4, 7.35 a.m. LONDON, October 3. Matters in connection with the strike at Clark and Co.'s i at Paisley, West Renfrewshire, Scotland, and which resulted in conflicts with the police, have not improved. Owing to the attempts of the strikers to intimidate Ferguslie workers, the Coats firm has closed the Ferguslie mills until protection is available, but all hands will be , paid. Twelve thousand people are idle.
