In the House of Representatives the Premier informed Mr Ell that ia view of the heavy programme of work already fixed for this session, it is not contemplated to introduce legislation this year to amend the Rating on Unimproved Values Act in the direction of enabling ratepayers in the seventy-six counties, boroughs, towns and road districts which have adopted this system of rating to bring all or any of the rates now exempted bj section 20 of the Act under the operation of the system adopted.
