CONTRACTORS AND GUARDIANS.
A SCANDAL. Received October 3, F. 30 a.m. October 2. An official enquiry has revealed the fact that the contractors made gross systematic overcharges for work done for the - Mile-End Guardians, and that, moreover, repairs which had been scamped were passed v - by the surveyor.
