Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report as follow? on their <Masterton stock sale heJd yesterday.:— Notwithstanding the xough weather stock came forward >up to advertised numbers. In sheep a fair yarding of all classes was offered, all .lots selling at full .rates. In cattle several pens of good quality beef in both ox, and cow met with animated competition. Bidding at auction for store' lines was irregular—still we effected a clearance before the close of the sale. We quote:—Shee.p —Faywethers 24s ,9d to 25s 6d, fat ewes '(best) 24s .6d, .others 20s to 22s t fat and forward .ewes 15s 7d to 18s, store ewes 14s .2d to 15s, hoggets (medium) 14s 2d, ewes in lamb and with lambs at foot 16s 7d to 20s. Cattle—Best fat bullocks £9 15s, others £8 19s, best cow beef £8 18s, other cow and heifer beef £7 7s, to £7 10s, store cows 29s to £2, empty heifers 38s to £2 ss, heifers in calf £2 35s to £3, twenty month steers (medium) £2 2s to £2 10s, two to three year steers «£4 2s to £4 9s.
