CARTERTON.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) Tuesday. At a meeting of directors and guarantors of the Wairarapa Bacon and Freezing Company, held recently, it was decided to call a general meeting for the purpose of considering the advisability of letting the bacon factory on a lease or to sell it as a going concern. A clay bird pigeon match, to be held under *,he New Zealand Gun Club Association rules will be fired in Messrs Shaw and Cole's paddock on October 12th. The Clareville Tennis Ciub will commence the season on October 24 th. Mr J. Kilminster has presented a royal stag's head to the lucal Gun Club for competition.
