ENCOURAGING THE VOLUNTEER MOVEMENT.. , (By Telegraph—Parliamentary Correspondent). WELLINGTON, October 1. Mr F. R. Flatman (Geraldine) gave notice in the House to ask the Minister of Defence whether he would grant preference to Volunteers in obtaining employment in the Government service, and also whether he would grant holiday passes to Volunteers, with the Qbjectqf encouraging -the Volunteer movement. .:>
