REN ALL CUP. MASTERTON v. RED STAR. The final match for the Renall Cup was played on the Masterton Showgrounds, on Saturday afternoon, when Masterton defeated Red Star by 12 points to nil. A gale of wind blowing down the field prevented anything like a scientific exposition of football, and it was a case of whichever side had the wind in their favour having the best of the game. The Star team was only a scratch one, very of the original team turning up. ..In the first spell Stars had the wind in their favour, and had considerably the best of the play. Each team was forced down twice, but there was no score registered. Masterton had all the best of the second half, but Stars held them well till about half the, spell was over. Then Minett took a mark in a good position, and O'Leary kicked a goal. Shortly after Fielding scored from a forward rush, O'Leary failing to convert. Minett was the next to cross the line, O'Leary again failing with the kick. The third try was gained by Spademan, and the scorer took the kick, but failed to add the major points. Mr L. Williams was referee. According to the conditions under which the cup was played for the Masterton Club will have to take a vote of members who have played for the Seniors during the past three years, and award the cup to the member who has been of most service to the team in these matches.

MARLBOROUGH v. WAIRARAPA JUNIORS. The Marlborough representatives met the Wairarapa Juniors at Greytown, on Saturday, and were defeated by 11 points to nil.
