Friday. MrX. Harbott has been appointed T)4th| of the Carterton Brass G. Rjbinson having resigned the position. The death is announced of Mrs Hamer, mother of Mr W. Hamer, of this town. Mrs Hamer died in Sydney. Feed around the Carterton district is plentiful just now. The supply of milk at the factories is steadily inorea e ir,g. The local cricketers are at present busily engaged in preparing Carrjngton Park for the forthcoming matches. A feature of the entertainment to be given shortly by the Carterton school children will be the drilling and marching by the Cadets. Mr A. Talbot is instructing them. I regret to hear that there is no improvement in the health of Miss M. A. uroadbent.
