DROWNING FATALITIES.

By Telegraphs-Press Association. DUNEDIN, September 27. Thomas Wa!ker, ergiirer of the dredge Enterprise, was drowned at Alexandra South. Deceased and a mate named Brown was going ashore yesterday morning, and forgot to let go the stern of the boat, which capsized. Both men were thrown into the water. Brown managed to regain the boat, but Walker's body was carried down the river. Walker leaves a wife and fotfr children. HOKITIKA, September 27.

A man named Arthur Mayo was drowned in the Haast River, South Westland, There are no particulars available.
