GRAIN AND PRODUCE REPORT.

Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., .report having held their fortnightly sale of grain and produce, at Wellington, on Tuesday last. The attendance •of buyers was not as large as usual, and a number of lots had to be passed in owing to prices bid not reaching market values or owners' reserves. Oats. —The market is quiet and sales effected are on a very small •scale. Both the Australian and Tasmanian markets have hardened, which -has had the effect of checking consignments coming in from these centres. Merchants in the South Island -.continue to ask prices on a par with values ruling for some time past. We quote:—Seed oats, 3s 6d to 3s u; prime feed oats, 3s 3d to 3s sd; ".cdium feed oats 3s to 3s 2a per r-; :hel (sacks extra). We tote:—Best table potatoes, £3 12s to £4; medium, £3 5s to £3 others, £2 10s to £3 per ton :;.ag3 in). Maize is in fair demand.
