SHEEP RETURNS.
(By Telegraph—Parliamentary Correspondent.) WELLINGTON, September 25. Mr Witty asked the Minister for Agriculture (Hon. K. McNab) in the House, this afternoon, whether he will have the time for making the sheep returns of the colony altered to January Ist each year? By doing more.correct return could be given just after shearing and tailing than is obtained at present, owing to so many sheep being moved from one district to another during the month of May. In reply the Minister stated that the question of altering the date of taking the shfiep returns'would be considered when an amendment was being made to the Stock Act.
