AN "ALL-RED" SERVICE.
VIEWS OF LORD BRASSEY. STATE AID SUGGESTED. Received September 23, 8.35 a.m. LONDON, September 22. Speaking in Livei'pool at a luncheon in connection with the Associated Chambers of Commerce gathering, Lord Brassey, at one time Governor of Victoria, spoke strongly in favour of an "All-Red" steam service. He said that there should be a State-aided "All-Red" route, and declared that there could be no link more binding than that of quick in-ter-Imnerial communication.
