HORSE PARADE.
At the annual horse parade, held on Saturday, under the auspices of the Masterton A. and P. Association, the attendance showed a decided falling off, and only ten horses made their appearance on the grounds. Various causes are assigned for this shortcoming, and it is probable that the Association will not hold another parade for some time to come. If numbers were wanting, the quality, however, was, on the whole, better than that of former years, and the horses shown were favourably commented upon. The thoroughbred class was represented by Mr W. Corlett's Boris and Mr C. McCullough's Porirua. In the trotting class, Mr G. R. Garratt's Pirate and Mr W. H. Atkin's King George were the only representatives. The only hunter on the ground was Mr C. McCullough's Wicklow. In ponies only two came forward, Mr E. Liddingt,oil's Kaipha and Mr B. Phelps' Reform. The draught division, which is previous years was a particularly strong class, had jnly three representatives, viz., Mr R. Falloon's Brilliant Boy, Mr J. Falloon's Commonwealth, and Mr Thes. Rosyth's Crown Reef.
THE STUD. BORIS. Mr W. Corlett, of Carterton, is again able to place at the service of breeders a first-class thoroughbred in the racer Bors, a worthy son of Stepniak.
BRILLIANT BOY. Farmers and breeders of draught houses arc notified that Mr R. Falloon's Clydesdale Brilliant Boy, by The Mackenzie (36(>), will be at their service again this season. It is noteworthy that at the sale of en-
