AUCKLAND, September 20

At a meering of the executive of the Agricultural and Pastoral Associ-atioifilo-day, Mr K. T. Dick referred to clause 66 of the Land Laws Amendment Bill, and after a strong speech on the question moved: "That this Association desires to enter its earnest protest against the provisions of the clause, a? being a gross injustice to owners of land; and in its opinion it should be impossible to compel holders of land under £25,000 in value to sell, save in the case of special public need and the larger areas should be a matter for arbitration, as at present." The motion was carried unanimously.
