IN THE FROZEN NORTH.
THE BRUCE EXPEDITION. CHRISTIAN A, Sept. 20. Captain Isachsen, of the Norwegian Polar expedition, found a letter, dated August 23rd, ' wherein Dr. Bruce, of the Scottish expedition, announced that he was proeeedirig northwards instead of returning to headquarters. Captain Isachsen adds that two expeditions are wintering in the same vicinity, and thai .they have ample provisions. (A cablegram from London, dated 18th instant, stated that grave fears were entertained with regard to the safety of Dr. William S. Bruce's Scottish Arctic expedition to Spitzbergen, which was last reported at Foreland Sound).
