"MOTHER GOOSE."
. ■♦ —' — The pantomime "Mother Goose," which will be seen at the Town Hall, to-night, must by reason of its extraordinary success, represent just that form of entertainment which the public of the day desire. It is, from . all accounts, highly spectacular, the scenes of Toyland, the Hall of Gold, the Meet at the Lands, the Magic Pool, Chordland and Gooseland, being reputed to be some of the finest specimens of the splendid art of Messrs W. R- Coleman and John Gordon. Then it contains several ballets—an unfailing attraction when executed up to the high standard set at all times by Mr Williamson—the chief of which are a toy ballot, j danced by tiny girls, a hunting ballet and a floral ballet. The swing song, which reveals girls on beautifullydecorated and electrically-lighted swings, and the "Moon Dear" song, which is attended by some remarkable cloud and moon effects, are two of the leadirg features. Miss Olive Godwin is to sing "Lilacs," and "Somebody's Sweetheart." Miss Mabeile Morgan will be heard in "Cupid's the Captain of the Army," and Miss Beatrice English will give "Love Me, And the World is Mine." Comedy, so important a factor in pantomime, i« to be supplied by MiHarry Phydora, Messrs Queen and Le Brunn, Mr Victor Loydall, Mr Harry Shine and Mr H. H. Wallace. In addition to the general cast, there are several specialty artists, the principal of whom are Eddie and Decima McLean, Lennon, Hyman and Lennon, the Lazaro trio of acrobats, and the Troupe de Mephisto. The curtain is advertised to rise at 7.45 sharp.
