Received September 20; 7.40 a.m. LONDON, September 39. The Associated Chambers of Commerce, sitting in Liverpool, adopted resolutions in favour of uniformity in the shipping law throughout the Empire, the appointment of an expert committee to consider the desirability or otherwise of national insurance against war risks and the appointment of a Royal Commission to consider the question of old age

pensions. The chambers also resolved that •the Imperial Government should acquaint Chambers of Commerce and commercial institutions with the contents of all Bills introduced into the colonial Legislatures.
